THE 2ND ANNUAL WOMENSHINE EXPO WAS A HUGE SUCCESS!!
YOU ARE AMAZING! Huge thanks to all of you who came out to our 2nd annual WomenShine Expo at the Painted Lady Bed and Brew September 20th!
It was one heck of a party ❤️ We enjoyed live music by The Ukuladies! Everyone was vibing and folks were dancing! 💃 TV Host Crystal Gutierrez shared her story of how she pivoted when the huge career dream she’d always had, changed. So many of you related to her message and were inspired. 😍 We saw some fab sustainable fashion looks with our Fashion Show by Timmie’s Closet and What Goes Around! 👗 Everyone enjoyed shopping with our fantastic vendors, doing hands-on projects to help some great local nonprofits (United Way of North Central NM, Locker #505, St. Felix Food Pantry, and NM Child First Network!), and savoring great food from Ocean Desert and local craft beer at the Trolley Bar. ❤️ On top of all of that, the weather was perfect! 🌞
You know it takes a village to make an event happen. Who We Are
WomenShine is a group of caring Albuquerque women who recognize the needs that exist in our community. We want to help, but our lives are busy, and the need feels so overwhelming it’s hard to know where to start. So we’re finally taking action in whatever small ways we can to make a difference.
And we’re doing it together.
What We Do
Starting in July 2025, we will meet once a month for a couple of hours to help a local nonprofit or meet a need in our community. We’re making it easy for busy, caring women to have an impact while enjoying some great “girl time.” In essence —
We’re making “doing good” doable. And we’re building our own supportive community in the process.
Why We Do It
Women are the change makers and nurturers of the world. Even the smallest action within the context of our busy lives can make a big difference. Our community, our city, our state, our nation, and our world need us.
If we don’t help, who will?
